On February 29, 2024, friends and supporters of Bridge of Books Foundation joined us at Chef Covas Catering in Long Branch, NJ to hang out behind-the-scenes with one of Monmouth County’s best chefs, Lauren Van Liew aka Chef Covas. Lauren is the owner and Executive Chef of Chef Covas Catering and she is a Food Network Chopped Champion and Supermarket Stakeout Winner and she showed her support for Bridge of Books by donating her own time at the event.

All of our guests enjoyed cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, stationary grazing stations, a dessert bar and a Q&A with Chef Covas where attendees were able to ask about everything from kitchen hacks to go-to dinners to her culinary training and appearances on television. And some lucky winners took home Mystery Bags filled with prizes including “Summer Reads”. A great night was had by all!
