My friend Susan, a Bridge of Books board member, shared last year’s race flier with me, knowing my love for running. I saw that it would be held in a pretty and serene county park with wooded trails and wildlife in the Fall, my favorite season because of the crisp and refreshing air and vibrant foliage. I was thrilled to support literacy while indulging in my favorite activities – running and charity. Inspired by the event and the earnest people I met, I’ve joined the board and am organizing this year’s run on Sunday, October 27.
